If You Love Clothes, Check out Eco Label, LNBF = Stylish & Comfy Clothing for Women (+REVIEW + Giveaway + SPECIAL OFFER)

I adore clothes. I always have. It started at a young age. As soon as I could afford to buy my own clothes, our local “Sweet Sixteen” store was my go to store.

As an eco blogger, I continue to adore clothes but now enjoy perusing through thrift stores in search of clothing treasures.

So when I was approached by the Canadian eco-friendly designer, LNBF (Leave Nothing But Footprints) to review some pieces from their latest line, I was ecstatic!

You have to take a look at their website. The clothes are not only well made, come in a variety of styl

es, but are super comfortable, stylish and affordable. And the best part is they are eco-friendly, meaning their bamboo fabrics use fewer chemicals, and less water to manufacture than synthetics and cotton. Bamboo also has anti-bacterial and moisture-wicking properties that will keep you warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

MY REVIEW: LNBF Eco Clothing Line

Me wearing the “Aviator Jacket”, the “Feather Tank” in Khaki and the “Valley Pant” in Black.

As a mom and woman approaching…ahem…. 46 this year, I’m always looking for attractive, comfortable and affordable clothes that fit well and don’t accentuate certain areas. Clothes that are well made and hopefully eco conscious. Finding such clothes are a challenge to say the least.

Well the search is over people!

Toronto’s based LNBF (Leave Nothing But Footprints) have created an eco line of clothing that hugs in all the right places. Made of bamboo fabric, the clothing is soft and flexible and hangs just right.

LNBF sent me 4 pieces to try: an Aviator Jacket in black, a Feather Tank in Khaki, a pair of Valley Pants in Black and a Chalet Tunic in Teal. Every single piece fits well and is super soft and gorgeous! This is just a small sample of the line. They have such a variety of pieces. Something for every occasion. The pieces they sent me are so versatile, I could wear them to pick up the kids from school, then head out to a nice dinner. I love that each piece is designed to be flattering for women in their 30s and up and and at the same time offer a timeless elegance.

Take a look at the attached pictures and you’ll see. They have new items every season and I can’t wait to see what else they create.

How ECO is LNBF?

There is a lot of “greenwashing” out there, but not so with LNBF. The bamboo fibre in LNBF garments is certified organic by OCIA (The Organic Crop Improvement Association). And theOeko-Tex 100% certified. They are very conscious of how they make their garments.

BIG NEWS: LNBF has asked me to be a BRAND AMBASSADOR for their clothing line and I couldn’t be more thrilled! I’ll be wearing these pieces at an upcoming event for the Whole Planet Foundation hosted by Whole Foods and the Modern Family Expo, Feb. 4 in Vancouver and again as the MC for the Modern Family Expoevent, Feb. 23 in North Vancouver.

So to sum it up, I LOVE LNBF clothing and I’m sure you will too!

1. Can you tell me in a few sentences what the focus of your business is? Catering to the mature woman who wants to be sustainable without compromising on style or comfort! There’s a stigma that eco clothes aren’t chic … and unfortunately, oftentimes there’s truth to that. While there’s more eco clothes on the market than ever, the majority of it is geared towards a younger crowd – women in their teens and twenties. We recognize this gap in the market and are committed to filling it.

More about our clothes:

*Our trademark is our luxuriously soft and silky fabrics (made from bamboo and organic cotton).

*Versatility is important to us. Our pieces are often multi-functional and our bamboo pieces are thermal regulating, keeping you warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

*The collections feature durable, timeless garments that outlast rapidly changing trends.

*Our ultra-flattering silhouettes allow women to feel as beautiful on the outside as they are on the inside.

2. How long have you been in business & why did you get started?  LNBF was founded in 2007 in Toronto. It was the brainchild of a passionate group of women who wanted to empower other woman to create a sustainable world for future generations – starting with the clothes they wear.

3. How do you think your eco business has or will impact your community or is helping people leave less of a footprint on our planet?
The textile industry is the #1 polluter of water. It also uses pesticides and fertilizers to grow cotton, toxic chemicals to treat fabric and ultimately creates tons of landfill waste. If you want to reduce your ecological footprint, purchasing eco-friendly (organic, sustainably harvested, natural) clothing is an excellent place to start! The biggest problem is that people don’t know where to look. Via social media, we’re trying to change that by connecting with those who have expressed an interest in sustainable fashion.

4. Is there anything else you’d like us to know? There’s also our LNBF Earth Award. This $500 grant is awarded each year to someone who has made significant contributions to their community (with a focus on green initiatives, sustainability, social innovation and community building).

We’re also, we’re a member of Fashion Takes ActionCanada’s premier non-profit organization that focuses on sustainability in the fashion industry and Live Green Torontoa City of Toronto program that helps people go green.

**5. Can you offer a discount for LNBF clothing to our Greenkick readers? You bet! We’d like to offer Greenkick readers 15% OFF. Simply use this CODE: GRNKKLUV at the checkout ONLINE. Offer is valid from Jan. 20 – Feb. 20.
